This play by Jean-Claude Humbert and staged by Daniela de la Hoz was selected for the festival d’Avignon 2017
A writer and the brother of the composer tell Tchaikovsky, the wounded man. His family, his friends, the mystery of his life and death. His epistolary loves, broken, impossible or forbidden, which alone will console him for his love of God, music and eternal Russia. Piotr Illitch thought that those who loved him were sometimes ashamed of him. He wanted to be like everyone else. Mission impossible for a genius.
